PERSONAL INFORMATION
Image:
Appearance: Kursten is 5’8” and weighs 150 pounds. His hair is a bluish-silver, and his eyes, rather than the red typical for a vampire, are a dull color that matches his hair. His skin color is a ghostly white, typical for the state he’s in, though still maintaining a bit of the color inherent in life, indicating his status as recently-turned. Still unsure of how he fits within the House Strigoi, he flits between the robes of a caster, and a ragged, unkempt blazer and torn jeans that forms his combat outfit. He generally has no opinion of what he wears, and just uses the dirty clothes because they’re effortless to replace or maintain. The fact that it’s hooded helps to hide the Seal placed on the back of his neck, as does the turtleneck-nature of his robes.
Personality: His personality is somewhat defined by the emotional trauma he underwent that led to him becoming a Strigoi. In general, he is a very kind, polite young man, to the point where he would gladly undergo hardship to help someone else, even a stranger. He always has a smile on his face, even if it doesn’t quite reach his eyes, and tries to be an anchor for those around him to an extent. He’s very eager to make friends, and is the kind of person who always looks towards the future for happier days when things are rough.
While the above isn’t necessarily a facade, they aren’t his true nature. Underneath his actions lies a hurt boy, reeling from abandonment, who worries constantly of being inferior, of being not worth the trouble. There is an entirely selfish motivation to his selflessness, that, if he can act so kind and helpful that people will want him around, that he will not be given up as a bargaining piece or simply abandoned again.
Deep inside, he has a stupid, impossible wish that his family will realize the error they made when they handed him off in exchange for the blessing sought from the nature spirit they contracted with. In his mind, he’s aware that there’s no reason for them to care about the walking corpse they abandoned, but it’s a catalyst for the overwhelming determination he is able to exhibit. In order to accomplish what is asked of him, he’d run into a brick wall until he physically cannot get back on his feet, or garrote himself on fishing line, in the hope that either his contemporaries or his family might look on his effort in approval.
When in the company of someone ruthless or violent, this can cause him to become a terror, as, while he personally does not wish to cause harm to people, both the necessities of his existence and his desire to please cause him to match them, accompanied by his brutal unwillingness to cede an inch. He can be more excessive in gathering resources than most, even those without moral compunction against it, because he wants to fit in with the crowd he is in, and gathering such resources is what is done. While he’s not so noble as to only do it on people that deserve it, he does try to avoid those with close family ties, as he feels the pain of a broken family intensely.
When given free time, he indulges in childish activities. He reads, plays video games, does what anyone would expect from a modern sixteen-year-old with a more indoorsy bent. Whenever the sun isn’t out, he indulges in nature trips, though often he is forced to do something before given too much time in that regard.
History:
Kursten was born in the Slovakian countryside to William and Maria Turner in the year 1966, at the time his family was undergoing a crisis. Their ability to use magic was on a slow and steady decline, which, aside from a few prodigies every few generations, seemed to inevitably mean they would be reduced to a state of simple humans, rather than the renowned family of magi they once were. Their great-grandfather discovered a technique to guage one’s ability to pass magical talent, and while other families seemed to garner a “Plus” on average, as one’s magic ability tends to grow with the generations, the Turners universally received a “Minus.”
Kursten, from an early age, seemed to be one of those prodigies. Someone capable of putting the family back on the map with his accomplishments, if given time. He showed a great propensity for the family’s magic, which focused on growth, life, and healing, as well as an ability to branch out into elemental thaumaturgy. He was looked on with pride as he grew as a magus, as his parents assumed he would break their curse and usher in a new era for the Turner family.
However, when he reached adolescence, he was tested for his ability to pass magical potential down, and again, as if dashing the hopes of the family around him, he was yet another minus. His siblings, taunting him over a reduction in status to their level, despite being weaker as magi, with the knowledge that he was just as much a wasted effort as what was assumed to be a family approaching extinction.
This led Kursten to undertake a desperate search for a way to fix this dead-end in his family’s path. Eventually this led him to Romania, to the one who would become his sire, who said that, if he could pass the tests and become a worthy member of house Strigoi, she would reverse his family’s fortunes. Strigoi had become quite rare after the end of the Masquerade, and a magus of his potential and desperation wasn’t something that they could simply let slip through their fingers. And so, serving the woman as her apprentice, a young boy of twelve disappeared from the Turner family for several years...and was not truly missed.
His skills were fairly self-evident, but he was simply kept as an errand-boy, a secretary, even as he passed trial after trial. Eventually the idea that he reached another dead end, another point that would not help his family...and with the knowledge of the House he had been invested in, he couldn’t leave. This despondency only drove him more, and soon every trial lay at his feet. With that, in a period of four years, he became an exemplary magus, and on that fateful day, he was informed by his sire-to-be that both of his younger siblings had passed the tests and become Plus through her magic. With that, nothing more needed to be said, and Kursten died at the age of sixteen, reborn in House Strigoi.
The years of training intensified. He learned languages he didn’t dream existed, magical theory to be applied once he contracted with his spirit, and generally continuing the service to his sire and House. He learned the basics, of the prey he hunted, and worked to keep her research flowing smoothly. Apparently he was successful, as before he reached the nominal age of 20, he was given the opportunity to choose a spirit to summon. Going with what he knew best, he manifested a nature spirit. Recognizing the magic within him, the spirit was willing to contract with him so long as he continued to face forward, realizing the mandate nature gave him when he was blessed with his potential.
With that, the years continued to pass, and after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the dissolution of the USSR, was forced to part ways with his sire as maintaining a presence of multiple vampires in a small area was not something that his sire was interested in without governmental support, so he was faced with his first abandonment. While at first he was somewhat lost, he realized this gave him a chance to reconnect with his family in Slovakia, returning home for the first time in several years.
When he returned home, he found his family happy, content in the knowledge that their bloodline was normal, revived after Kursten left. Seeing him, they were aghast at what had become of him, rejecting him without a second thought. While they had little recourse if he was angered, Kursten simply left, tossing back that when they thought better of their decision, to let him know. He didn’t have any questions about how they’d contact him...he’d become such a force of magic that his name would be known everywhere.
After that, he flitted from place to place, looking to reconnect with Strigoi or finding some other place he could fit in. Eventually hearing about the goings-on in Lakecrest City, he found that as good a place to start as any.

Under that newly presented factor, vampires would either try to eliminate/kill what caused it to frenzy or flee out of fear. Some of it maybe a cause of their anger, desperation, or many other forms of reasons. Many vampires who frenzy tend to become numb to pain. However, they are still capable of being damaged. Most vampires who frenzy tend to lack motor functions as they are in a berserk state.

Any such entities that manage to take in blood in their bodies are bound to the Strigoi. Sometimes there will be set conditions between the Strigoi and the spiritual entity. Other times they can force the contract on such creatures, but only if they manage to force them into submissions through force. At E-Rank, one contract can be formed.
Rank:E
Techniques/Spells:
Name:Blood Summoning
Incantation:
Description:The ritual summoning spell of the Strigoi. Its incantations vary widely depending on the target they wish they call upon, so does the sacrifices. If a human spirit is to be summoned, human blood suffices. Or for a vampire, vampiric blood. However, in order to summon more powerful entities, the sacrificial blood they offer must be of equal quality. Even if a spirit is summoned, they must either come to an agreement in a contract or force it to accept it. This is also not something to be used in combat given it takes a long time to set up and the summoned spirit is also likely to not accept servitude.

CONTRACTED SPIRITS
Name: Ravijojla
Aliases: (Self-explanatory)
Age: Appears late-20s
Gender: Appears female

Image of Seal:
Personality:Ravijojla, shortened to Ravi, is a nature spirit focused on growth in all its connotations. She desires experience, conquest, expansion, in whatever forms it takes in the modern world. While she is incompatible with their work, she has a deep admiration of humanity for it’s place at the apex of the world’s food chain, and works as one of Gaia’s forces to try and overrun them and return them to their place in the African bush. This combative nature, she feels at least, is the only way to have mankind continue to develop, to continue it’s path towards dominance and not succumb to stagnation.
After being summoned, she was at first aghast at the thought of being stuck in the body of an undead, someone who, by definition, does not grow. However, she soon recognized the ambitious spirit present within her master, the same she grew to admire in Humanity at large. In this, she came to admire the man who so eagerly allowed himself to be bound by her restriction that, should he abandon his quest to ascend to his fullest potential as a being, he would fight her into submission or die. After living within him for several years, she acknowledged his desire for someone who would never abandon him, and saw that as, while a dead end, something that he strove for and encouraged it, with the admonition that so long as he never broke his word, she would be present. Still, she wants him to surpass such weakness eventually.
She is not one to talk much, generally. At her nature, she is something vegetative, something that grows, and expands, but does not interact. However, she is often a voice of encouragement or criticism that holds absolutely nothing back. Her voice is harsh, and speaks with a tone of finality.
History: Ravi was created with the primordial Earth, as a handmaiden to Gaia. Serving as her overseer of the grounds that would later be known as the Slavic lands, she works as most nature spirits do, enforcing the kill-or-be-killed nature that ensures the survival of only the most fit. This continued with her in merely a protectionary fashion for the most part, until humanity came into the picture. Eventually she had to combat the upstart tool-wielders, with them eventually gaining the upper hand. Through such mastery of nature, Ravi lost ground in the area, her power waning until she was simply a spirit.
After losing the fight against the Slavic people, she worked in the forests and the wild places, ceding territory to Humanity’s conquest. Continuing her role, she grated underneath the defeat that limits growth. Her work to infiltrate the cities of humanity was continuous and unabating, showing the unending patience of nature, until an aspect of her was called away and given form in a blood contract.
Seeing the upstart vampire seek to control and contain her, she eyes him simply. “Do you have the resolve to grow? Are you content with what you are, Unlife?” The response was shaky, but final. “Of...of course! There’s no way I’d be content with where I am now...my family wasn’t, and I won’t be either!” To her, the boy was not dead. He had the heart of a living, breathing being, whose desire to grow and expand had not dwindled. After that, she was content, and her life as a contracted spirit began.
